Fun at the Cabin!

We still have not purchased a new camera but I was able to steal some pictures of Abbi and Cooper off of my in-law's camera.

This last week Abbi, Cooper, Randi (my mother-in-law) and myself went to Elkwater to spend some time at the cabin. Abbi and Cooper loved being outside and just being active. We did spend time at the beach but a lot of the swimming was done in the Rubbermaid container used to store toys. The two of them loved swimming in the Rubbermaid and it was also handy to use for bathing at the end of the day. It is so neat to see cousins so close...Abbi and Cooper play so well with each other for only being 1 1/2 and 2 1/2.

This week I am planning to stick around home as we have been out and about for the last two weeks. My grandparents from Winnipeg will be here on Wednesday and we are having a birthday celebration for Tyler's grandmother on Thursday. Abbi and I will then leave on Sunday to go camping with my mom and dad. We are going to Saskatchewan Landing and hope to visit a lot of family on my dad's side when we are there.

Tyler is busy again around the house. We have finally started to put siding on the shed and clean up more of the backyard. We would really like to start the basement but it keeps getting put off. We need to purchase a truck and have not really had the time to search for one. It was easier to find a vehicle in Calgary since there was a large selection so I guess we will have to be patient and find one here in Medicine Hat.

I can't believe it is already the middle of July...only 1 and 1/2 months left of holidays :(

Camera Bummer :(

So there will be no updated pictures with this blog as our "not too old" camera has broken down. The part to repair the camera will be around $400 so we figure we might as well buy a new one since it would be a lot cheaper. I have had good luck with Canon cameras but I guess this one just didn't cut it.

I am happy to officially be on summer holidays. We kicked off our holidays by going to Elkwater and spending time at the cabin. Abbi really enjoys being outside so she was very happy to be out there. Friends of ours (Brandon and Chandra) camped in the campground as well as my parents. Tyler's parents, brother and future sister-in-law all stayed at the cabin with us.

We spent the weekend relaxing, heading to the beach, a little skiing and also having fires everynight. Next time you see Tyler you will need to ask him the best way to get a fire started, and started quickly. Let's just say that he may tell what NOT to do. At least I know where the fire extinguisher is at the cabin!!!

Abbi and I are going back out to the cabin this weekend as Tyler is hosting a stag at our house. My nephew, Cooper (2 1/2) is visiting for a few weeks and Abbi and Cooper get along great. I am hoping the weather will be a little cooler at the lake as it is +37 right now and is forecasting the same for tomorrow.

Hopefully we find a camera soon so I can post some updated pics! Anyways...here are some old but new to you pics.
